Clubhouse and Golf Course Reopening Information

Reopening Information, Trading Hours, and Golf Course Clean-Up

At the Club, the team has been assessing the required clean-up of both golf courses, to ensure our Clubhouse and surrounds are safe for us to welcome you back as soon as possible.

We are pleased to advise that limited Clubhouse operations will commence again from Tuesday 11 March, with only Lakeview Bar available for a reduced period. From Wednesday 12 March, the golf shop and Member Services will also reopen, equally operating for limited hours. The below listed trading hours are subject to ongoing weather conditions and access to the facilities, noting many of our staff continue to experience flooding and storm damage to their homes, power outages, and impacted ability to travel to work and schools. We thank members for their patience throughout this period.

Clubhouse

The Clubhouse will reopen with the following reduced trading hours (week commencing Monday 10 March):

Lakeview Bar: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10am – 3pm. Please note, we are only able to serve coffee, drinks from the bar, and very limited food items

Member Services: From Wednesday 10am – 3pm

Golf shop: From Wednesday 7am – 3pm

Golf Courses and Practice Facilities

At this stage, our golf courses and practice facilities remain closed until further notice, and many areas of the golf course remain inaccessible. We recorded a total of 559mm total rainfall throughout the weather event, and the team has been onsite assessing conditions and developing a plan. Our tree contractor is scheduled to be onsite on Wednesday morning to clear fallen trees and prepare them for mulching once conditions are dry enough.

Volunteer Assistance

We are grateful for our passionate members who have expressed interest in lending a hand with our efforts to restore our golf courses after this unprecedented weather event. For members interested in assisting our team, please register via our online form for work to be completed this Thursday 13 March, meeting 7:30am at the golf shop. Golf Course Superintendent Cameron Smith will brief volunteers on tasks to be completed and coordinate your movements while on the course.

For your safety, please bring the following items with you:

  • Water
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent
  • Gardening gloves
  • Garden rake

If you do not have these items, we will supply them where possible. Lunch will be provided.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we restore our facilities to the standard that we pride ourselves on for the enjoyment of all members and guests. We hope to increase our trading hours next week and look forward to providing further updates as soon as is feasible. As always, our Member Services team is here to assist with your enquiries. Please reply to this email with any questions, or phone 07 5699 9000.
