The Club is delighted to welcome both Brigid Pokarier as our Membership and Communications Manager and Jasmine Rolfe as our Communications Coordinator.
Brigid comes to us with a wealth of experience in membership engagement, communications, and strategic leadership. In her most recent role as Head of Membership and Communications at Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ), Brigid led several impactful initiatives, including statewide volunteer recruitment campaigns, member retention programs, and regional engagement, particularly in remote communities.
Prior to her tenure at SLSQ, Brigid worked as the Fundraising & Marketing Manager at Cancer Council ACT, where she successfully led major fundraising campaigns, built strong donor relationships, and developed a comprehensive communications strategy that significantly raised the organisation’s profile.
In her new role with us, Brigid will be instrumental in enhancing member engagement, managing membership relations, and driving the overall communications strategy at the Club. She will oversee all aspects of membership administration, database management, reporting, and member onboarding and offboarding, while ensuring timely, effective communication through newsletters, website updates, and internal/external correspondence.
Jasmine joins the Club with over seven years of experience in custom publishing, copywriting, and campaign production and coordination. She brings a wealth of expertise from her time at We are Explorers and Style Media.
Jasmine is a passionate writer with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to accuracy—especially when it comes to spelling and grammar. Her dedication to quality and precision will undoubtedly make a valuable impact on our team’s work. In her role, she will be assisting Brigid in executing the Club’s communications strategy, content creation and management, as well as graphic design and copywriting.
