The Call for Nominations for the below positions on the Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club Pty Limited (Club) board has now closed. 

• President
• Vice-President
• Director – Captain of Ladies’ Golf 

The following positions were unopposed, and we herewith announce that

• Mr. Paul Smerdon has been elected President 2025/26; and
• Mr. Michael Temperton has been elected Vice-President 2025/26.

Multiple candidates were nominated for the position of Captain of Ladies’ Golf 2025/26, for which an election will be held:

• Mrs. Libby Shakespeare – nominated by Mrs. Imera Astell and Mrs. Trudi Murray 
  • Nominated Vice-Captain of Ladies’ Golf: Mrs. Jane Mullings
• Ms. Suzi Ledger – nominated by Mrs. Jan Venn and Mrs. Judith McDonald
  • Nominated Vice-Captain of Ladies’ Golf: Mrs. Madonna Siokos

The below timetable has been adopted in relation to this board position: 

• Thursday 14 November 2024 – call for voting 
• Wednesday 20 November 2024 – close of voting 
• Thursday 21 November 2024 – votes counted, and results published

The election will be conducted by CorpVote, which is independent of the Club and specialises in the planning, management and delivery of secure voting and election services. Members will receive all relevant election information directly from CorpVote, including candidate details, voting instructions, and a reminder email to vote. All queries relating to the election are managed by the Returning Officer from CorpVote, Tim Jones. For clarity, votes cast for candidates are confidential and the Club only obtains a quantitative summary of votes cast throughout the election, as well as the result.
