Guide to Assisting Pace of Play
To help ensure a smooth and enjoyable golf round, please refer to the following steps or view the full guide here:
- Keep up with the group in front of you
- Play ‘ready golf’
- Be ready to play when it’s your turn
- If you think your ball is out of bounds or could be lost, play a provisional
- Assess your shot, measure the distance, read your putt whilst others are playing
- Score your card or MiScore at the next tee whilst others are teeing off
- Monitor your pace of play on MiScore; note that your timing is displayed on the top left-hand corner of the app
- Listen to instructions from course marshals; they are here to help all players complete rounds in appropriate times
- Be helpful to your playing partners; look for balls, rake bunkers and watch others hit
- If falling behind, a player can putt out and proceed to the next tee
Reminder: the low marker is responsible for maintaining the pace of play.
