Experience the passion and expertise of our staff firsthand as we unveil a new personalised cocktail each week, offering a glimpse into the unique tastes and personalities of our team members. 

Staff were tasked to create their own signature cocktail when undertaking a spirits and cocktail masterclass at the Club on Thursday 23 May 2024. We are thrilled to kick off this new weekly tradition with a unique twist on the classic Espresso Martini, crafted by Food and Beverage Manager Merriden Diehm. 

Aptly named the ‘Smoked Flamin’ Espresso Martini’, this cocktail is a reflection of Merriden’s vibrant personality and love for all things energetic and exciting and of course her love of coffee! 

Merriden’s signature creation combines the rich flavours of coffee, Kahlua, and a luxurious touch of Belvedere vodka with a smooth twist of Bailey’s Irish cream. The magic doesn’t stop there – before serving, the glass is smoked with burnt coffee beans, infusing every sip with a tantalising aroma. 

To add a fiery flourish, the cocktail is garnished with orange peel soaked in OP rum and served alight bringing the flame to your table. Just when you think it can’t get any more dazzling, a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar ignites into sparks, mirroring Merriden’s effervescent spirit and firecracker personality. The flavours of the burnt orange peel and cinnamon sugar drip into the cocktail providing that surprise at every turn.
