As of Friday 12 April 2024, we’ve experienced significant rainfall, totalling 98mm, resulting in excessively wet conditions across our courses. The steady rain and cooler temperatures have prolonged the drying process, leaving many areas damp and too soft for vehicular traffic.
The ‘Repair Hole of the Day’ initiative encourages members to actively participate in the upkeep of The Pines and The Palms courses. By filling in divots on tees and fairways during play and repairing pitch marks on greens, members contribute to maintaining the course’s quality. Look out for the designated sign, which will rotate among different holes regularly on both courses, guiding members on where their assistance is needed most.
The Golf Course Maintenance team has introduced a new bunker rake called ‘The B-Rake’. This innovative tool features a broom attachment on the back side of the rake, designed to leave a smooth finish on bunker surfaces.
