Members and their guests are invited to join us on Saturday 13 April 2024 to experience the enchanting ‘The Look of Love’ event, presented by Peter Cupples and Band, celebrating the timeless songs and music of Burt Bacharach.
Peter Cupples is renowned as the frontman of the Australian blue-eyed soul group Stylus, which he formed in 1974 and toured alongside George Benson, Ike and Tina Turner, The Doobie Brothers and Little River Band.
Peter now presents a new look at the timeless classics of Burt Bacharach. Bacharach was responsible for over 30 number-one hits, and over 1,000 artists have recorded his songs. Burt is regarded as one of the greatest contemporary composers of our time, his work spanning over six decades.
This show covers all the songs that are most familiar to everyone including ‘The Look of love’, ‘Do you know the way to San Jose’, ‘What the world needs now’, and many more. ‘The Look of Love’ event promises to be a trip down memory lane and one not to be missed.
