Update on the Golf Courses

The Golf Course Maintenance team completed the following this week:

  • Course renovations continued on The Pines
  • Coring The Pines fairways, tees, and aprons
  • Scarifying Top Maker on The Pines tees
  • Mowing The Pines rough
  • Amending and top dressing The Pines greens
  • Mowing The Palms rough
  • Applying fungicide on The Palms greens
  • Trimming/edging The Palms tee signs
  • Continuing contractor drainage works on The Pines 5th hole

Next week the team plans to:

  • Continue The Pines course renovations
  • Top dress and fertilise The Pines tees, aprons, and fairways
  • Mow the rough on both courses
  • Trim irrigation heads on The Palms (sprinklers, valves, and pits)

After a slow start due to wet weather, The Pines course renovations are slowly getting back on schedule. The GCM team have been working long hours to achieve this with most surfaces now on the brink of being complete. Next week the team will start the massive task of bringing the bunkers back into play after some time out.

Planned drainage works short of the green on the 5th hole of The Pines were installed and look like they will be a great success improving the overall playability of the hole during wet weather.
