Update on the Golf Courses

This week the GCM team completed:

  • Aeration of The Pines greens using 6mm solid needle tines
  • Verti-cutting of The Palms greens, amendments applied and a light dusting and insecticide applied
  • A follow up herbicide application to The Pines fairways to control Qld Blue Couch and Kikuyu
  • Insecticide application to The Pines fairways for insect larvae
  • A fungicide application to The Pines greens
  • Growth control application to The Pines tees
  • Returfed bare or weak areas on green edges on The Pines greens (5, 11, 16 and 17)
  • New tee signage installed on The Palms course and old tee signs removed
  • Native grasses planted and hoop pine mulch spread in the garden between the practice putting green and The Palms 1st tee
  • Commenced herbicide application to The Pines rough
  • Drainage installed at the course furniture pad on The Pines 5th tee

Next week the team plan to:

  • Continue and complete herbicide application on The Pines rough
  • Verti-cutting of The Pines greens, amendments made and a light dust
  • Foliar fertilise The Pines green aprons and fairways
  • Irrigation trim on The Palms course
  • Continue replacement turf work for bare or weak areas on The Pines greens
