Update on the Golf Courses
The Golf Course Maintenance team completed a number of tasks this week, including:
- Continued turf replacement of the couch encroachment on The Palms greens
- Completion of trimming drain pits and valve lids on The Palms
- Insecticide application on The Palms greens and tees
- Herbicide application to control weeds in The Palms bunkers
- Debris clean up from pine trees on The Pines
- Granular fertiliser application to The Pines greens
- Herbicide application to Pines greens
- Mulching of the cleared area between The Pines 3rd tee and 5th green
- Additional flora planting in the garden to the right of The Pines 8th tee
- Maintenance of the gardens and trees at the Clubhouse cart parking area, namely trimming of trees, uplifting, mulching, irrigation repair and flora planting
- Mowing of The Pines rough
- Additional spreading of pine needle mulch over the area to the left of The Pines 2nd tee
- Scarification, top-dressing and granular fertiliser application on The Pines south range
- Application of foliar fertiliser and growth control on the driving range fairway
- Spraying of weeds in paths on The Pines
- Plugging out couch encroachment on The Pines greens
Next week the team plans to:
- Top-dress new turf areas on The Palms
- Mow The Palms rough
- Continue solid tine aeration and hand top-dressing of bare patches on The Pines fairways
- Aerate The Pines tees with solid tines
- Plant flora in the mulched area between The Pines 3rd tee and 5th green
