Update on The Palms Bunkers and Hole 3

As we near the completion of Stage 1 of The Palms Enhancement Plan through the bunker program, an audit was conducted to assess the work completed to date. This audit, as is standard practice at the conclusion of a project, was carried out by the contractors and Superintendent to ensure that the installation of drainage, liners, and sand meets the quality and performance standards outlined at the start of the project.

During the audit, several bunkers were identified in which the condition of the liner did not meet expectations. This is currently being addressed, and all remediation work will be completed during our scheduled golf course renovation closures.

Importantly, there will be no impact on member play after the renovations are finished, and no holes will be closed for play once the work is completed.  

On hole 3 of The Palms golf course, works have begun as part of the ongoing The Palms Enhancement Plan. The initial phase includes the construction of a new cart path and retaining walls. The redesigned cart path will integrate with the new tee placement scheduled for next year and is designed to ensure uninterrupted playability throughout the remainder of the project.
