The golf swing can be quite deceptive. The two swings below differ due to a reduced wrist hinge, which altered several aspects of the backswing:

• In the swing on the left, it felt like the left arm and shaft were in line
• It felt like no hands were being used in the backswing
• This resulted in a straighter left arm and a much better-set position at the top of the backswing
