Rule of the Week – Ball Moved by Practice Swing in Teeing Area

There is often uncertainty regarding whether a penalty is incurred if a ball is accidentally moved during a practice swing in the teeing area. It is important to note that no penalty is applied in such instances.

Rule 6.2b (5) – If you accidentally cause your ball to move in the teeing area when you have a practice swing, it may be re-teed in the teeing area without penalty.
