Update on the Golf Courses
Due to the persistent wet weather, our scheduled work for this week has been significantly disrupted. Over the past six days, we’ve experienced a total rainfall of 74mm, saturating the ground and making it challenging for us to proceed with our planned tasks. As a result, the courses are taking longer than usual to dry out, further complicating our maintenance efforts. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate these weather-related challenges.
The Golf Course Maintenance team completed the following this week:
- Amendment application to The Pines greens
- Drain trimming on The Palms
- Drains on both courses cleared to allow surface water to get away
- Storm-damaged trees along the right side of The Pines 8th hole removed and chipped
- Sticks on The Pines mulched
- Gardening and trim of The Pines 1st hole and carpark
Next week the team plans to:
- Needle tine aeration The Palms greens
- Granular fertiliser application and dust The Pines greens
- Overseed practice range target greens
- Finish mowing rough on The Pines and commence mowing the rough on The Palms
- Herbicide application on The Palms tees, green aprons and fairways
