Update on the Golf Courses
This week, the team faced significant challenges due to wet weather conditions, receiving over 95mm of rainfall from Sunday to Wednesday. As a result of the rain, the course had to be closed on both Wednesday and Thursday.
The Golf Course Maintenance team completed the following this week:
- Mowing of The Pines rough
- Irrigation trim on The Pines
- Valve box trim on The Palms
- Trim/detail lake edges on The Pines
- Trim/detail palm trees along The Palms 1st hole
- Undertook minor landscape works on hole 1 of The Palms in line with the Enhancement Plan
- Turf repairs on The Palms 13th green
Next week the team plans to:
- Verti cut The Pines and The Palms greens
- Herbicide application on The Pines
- Granular fertilise The Pines greens
- Fungicide application to The Pines and The Palms greens
- Turf detail works on The Palms 1st hole
- Start irrigation trim on The Palms
- Continue trim/detail on The Pines lake edges
The Palms Golf Course – Bunker Works – Hole 2
- Finished shelling out the existing bunkers
- Started shaping of new bunkers
- Replace/repair drainage in bunkers
- Wet weather has stalled the installation of Duracrumb liner
The bunker works will be on hold until next week due to the wet weather.
