Ladies’ Invitation Day 2024

The Club was proud to host 100 guests for the Ladies’ Invitation Day on Thursday 14 March 2024.

Guests from over 15 golf clubs across Australia joined us for a fantastic autumn day. The day began with a delicious variety of grab-and-go breakfast items served before the ladies teed off and took on The Pines golf course.

Following golf, Members and their guests enjoyed a beautiful buffet lunch prepared by our Head Chef Ben James and his team, followed by presentations, prize-giving, raffle draws and a fashion show that exhibited colourful, comfortable and complementary golf attire available in the golf shop. Thank you to the models Elizabeth Stanley-Hunt, Fiona Francis and Cathy Mathieson, as well as the fashion show host Viv Gian, for putting on a great segment.

Our ladies’ generosity both on and off the course was once again overwhelming, with $2,825 raised in support of Cancer Council Research. A special thank you to Jordan Hampson, PGA Associate Professional, for his assistance in adding numerous birdies to scorecards on the 13th hole, and for raising $720 of the funds. The day’s charity was selected in honour of the late and much-missed Laurie Barron, and we are grateful for the support received.

Congratulations to the team of Wendy Whitelaw, Vicky Mobsby, Maz Towler and Michelle Schneider who were the overall winners for the day, with 95 points, closely holding out over Sharon Houghton, Sonja Trott, Ann-Maree Kerry and Judith Pearson, who scored 93 points.
