Update on the Golf Courses
The Golf Course Maintenance team completed the following this week:
- Continued the removal and chipping of storm debris on The Palms golf course
- Removed debris and cleared drains along paths on both courses
- Straightened and staked small trees leaning over
- Mowed playing surfaces on both courses
- Repaired turf damage from the large gum tree that fell onto the rear of The Palms 9th green
- The Palms bunkers were drained and trimmed, debris and silt removed and prepared to a playable condition
- Applied growth control product on tees, green surrounds and fairways

Next week the team plans to:
- Commence The Pines renovations on Monday 15 January, involving dethatching, aeration, topdressing and fertilising of all playing surfaces
- This will include the small practice putting green and surrounds, the large practice putting green surrounds, practice holes 20 and 21 and the chipping green
- General maintenance will continue on The Palms
- Contractors ITS Tree Services will be on The Pines to do tree maintenance works
The Golf Course Maintenance team will continue cleaning up from the Christmas storms for many weeks to come. Both the golf courses are open for play with only the bunkers being out of play at this stage.
