Members’ Golf 2024

The Match Committee, with support of the Board, has made the following changes for 2024 golf:

Medley Competitions – Survey Results
Beginning in February 2024, there will be a 12-week trial of medley competitions on Tuesdays and Fridays on the alternate course to the competition of the day. These competitions will be optional and will run from 7am – 12:30pm subject to availability of the golf course. Survey results below:

New Shootout – The Palms golf course
A Shootout event is being introduced on The Palms golf course with qualifying rounds beginning on 1 July 2024 and ending on 30 June 2025. The finals will be played on a Sunday in July 2025:

• 9-hole Shootout final
• Top 19 players qualify
• 2 players eliminated from each hole

Monthly Medals

• No scratch score glasses in 2024
• Best scratch score will receive $15 competition prize

Men’s Competitions – White tee options

• 8-week trial
• White option available for all players with the default competition of the day being black or blue tees – Members to advise golf shop staff if they wish to play white tees
• Trial will begin February 2024

Men’s Competitions – Scratch Score

• Best scratch score of each competition will receive a $10 competition prize
• Winner will be from competition tee of the day

Sanctuary Cove Open Championship

• Scheduled for Sunday 7 January 2024
• Open to Members and staff
• Played over 36 holes across both golf courses
• Field of 32 players and a ballot will be used if required – lowest handicaps will gain entry into the event
