Update on the Golf Courses

The Golf Course Maintenance team addressed the following this week:

  • Verti-cutting and amendments application to The Pines greens
  • Wetting agent application to selective dry areas on The Pines fairways and tees
  • Mowing of rough on The Pines
  • Raking of The Pines bunker face rough to break up algae
  • Renovation of The Pines large practice putting and chipping green which involved verti-cut, aeration 8mm hollow tines and top-dressing
  • The Members’ Working Group assisted with the clean-up of green waste and mulching on The Palms 11th hole

The Palms golf course renovations:

  • Greens mown at 4mm
  • 2nd top-dressing of greens
  • Tees, green aprons and fairways mown
  • Bunkers cleaned out and detailed
  • Commenced topdressing tees, green aprons and fairways
  • Irrigation head trim

Next week, the team plans to:

  • Apply amendments and lightly dust The Pines greens
  • Apply pre-emergent herbicide to The Pines tees, green aprons and fairways
  • Trim detail The Pines bunkers
  • Dust The Palms greens
  • Complete top-dressing of The Palms tees, green aprons and fairways
  • Mow The Palms rough
  • Apply 2nd top-dress to The Pines large practice putting green
  • Aerate and top dress the northern driving range tee
