Update on the Golf Courses
Following the correspondence shared last week, The Palms greens have responded well to the renovations and will have returned to their standard quality condition once the course re-opens for play.
This week the Golf Course Maintenance team has:
- Aerated The Pines greens with 6mm solid needle tines
- Applied wetting agent and insecticide to The Pines tees, green surrounds and fairways
- Applied foliar fertiliser and growth control to The Pines tees, green surrounds and fairways
- Applied sodium flush to The Pines greens
- Assisted the contractors ITS with tree works on The Palms
The Palms golf course renovations:
- Greens have been verti-cut, aerated with 8mm hollow tines, had amendments applied and were topdressed
- Tees and fairways have been scarified and aerated with 14mm hollow tines
- Fairways have been spiral cut
Next week the team plans to:
- Turf small, weak areas on The Pines 5th and 6th fairways
- Apply amendments to The Pines greens
- Plant pine trees on The Pines 14th hole
The Palms renovations will continue with the following:
- Topdressing of tees, green aprons and fairways
- Fertiliser application to tees and green aprons
- 2nd topdress for the greens
