Update on the Golf Courses
This week, the Golf Course Maintenance team:
- Re-turfed bare areas on The Palms fairways
- Trimmed and detailed The Palms bunkers, as well as applied growth regulator
- Applied foliar fertiliser and growth regulator to The Palms fairways, tees, and aprons
- Detailed and trimmed the garden behind The Palms 11th green, with the assistance of the Members’ Working Group
- Mowed the rough on The Pines
- Pro cored and fertilised mite damaged areas on The Pines
In addition, the Members’ Working Group worked on the garden detail behind the 11th green and the 18th tee area.
Next week the team will:
- Complete drainage works on The Pines 5th fairway
- This work will commence Monday 20 February, with the hole closed Monday and Tuesday; practice hole 19 will be in play
- Mow, roll, top dress and fertilise new turf areas on The Palms
- Mow the rough on The Palms
- Replace turf on The Palms for couch encroachment
- Trim the gardens and trees surrounding the Clubhouse
- Verti-cut The Pines greens
- Trim the lakes on The Pines
